About CommUnique

CommUnique Wireless LLC is a privately held software company that has developed the world’s only wireless routing protocol, called Dynamic Forward Routing (DFR).  Utilizing DFR, networking companies can use non-cellular techniques to design and build networks that are more robust and cheaper to deploy than traditional cellular networks.  Utilizing DFR, networking companies can handle traffic on behalf of other companies, in much the same way that the wired Internet cloud works today.  CommUnique Wireless is currently working with hardware manufacturers and network operators to implement DFR in networks worldwide.

Dynamic Forward Routing can be deployed over any network topology including local area networks (LANs), metropolitan area networks (MANs) and wide area networks (WANs). DFR is agnostic to the type of transmission used, whether it be CDMA, OFDM, Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum, or some other method.  DFR is written as software to the ROM of the device in use, and has accompanying network management software.

With DFR, every client and every server in the network is also a potential data signal repeater for every signal in the network. This means that data signals move from PC client to PC client, dynamically finding the shortest path to their final destination. If any given network pathway is blocked, the signal simply finds another path. This fact makes DFR enabled wireless networks considerably less expensive to install than traditional wireless networks. Why? Because far fewer data signal "repeater only" antenna/tower sites must be constructed.
